A man who rescued himself, with the help of his hometown.

Formerly incarcerated and then homeless, lifelong Arlington, Virginia resident James Muse learned culinary skills through

. He has been employed & living in his own place for the past three years.

Mr. Muse attended a community meeting on October 25, 2012 to discuss the city's 10-year plan to end homelessness. The plan is almost five years in.
